Breatharian Breakfast

What do Breatharians eat?

Oh my God, will someone help me come up with a better name than Breatharian? Inedic sounds neutral enough, but there must be a better way to quickly describe this state without conjuring up Wiley Brooks & Co. Besides, it’s not about eating air instead of food.

As you know, I’ve decided to just give in and stop clinging to my one meal a day. I’ve been doing that for years and I’ve had my reasons. Those reasons no longer feel valid.

So far so good. But how does one know empirically they no longer need to eat to live? After all, it is said that a very obese man in Scotland fasted for over 300 days and was fine. Obviously, he lost all his extra weight, and he did not abstain from water. I believe this amazing gentleman took vitamin supplements also.

My point being: contrary to popular Western belief, fasting is quite normal for the body and a healthy person can fast for quite a while with no ill effects. When do you finally get to say you are actually free from the need for food vs being on a really long, eerily easy fast? People feel very high when fasting.

We should retain a healthy dose of skepticism with changes such as becoming “breatharian.” I’m sure it’s possible to fly, as well, but I think it would be wise to attempt said flight off a three foot wall rather than a sheer cliff.

I know some people claim to not drink water either. I imagine it’s perfectly possible, but I definitely am not in that camp at this time. I love drinking and feel it benefits me.

I don’t have lots of stored fat to live off of, so I guess I will know sooner than 300 days! In any event, I will keep you posted. I have noticed some very subtle, yet profound inner shifts since I stopped eating, which I will share with you in a later post.

Bon {non} appétit!
